House on the Rock was built in 1747 as three separate dwellings alongside the original Pittenweem harbour. The southern most apartment was abandoned after a severe storm in 1898. Subsequently the main building became one larger home with a sizeable net store at the south end.
Totally refurbished during 2002, the cottage offers a remarkable lounge with south facing windows, breath-taking views to the south, west and east, across the lapping waves of the Firth of Forth. There are three double bedrooms, all with en suite facilities and a further spacious attic twin room. The luxury kitchen boasts a six burner range cooker and there is a separate dining/ sitting room to relax over dinner, after a day spent enjoying the East Neuk of Fife.
