  Rock Villa

House on the Rock was built in 1747 as three separate dwellings alongside the original Pittenweem harbour. The southern most apartment was abandoned after a severe storm in 1898. Subsequently the main building became one larger home with a sizeable net store at the south end.

Totally refurbished during 2002, the cottage offers a remarkable lounge with south facing windows, breath-taking views to the south, west and east, across the lapping waves of the Firth of Forth. There are three double bedrooms, all with en suite facilities and a further spacious attic twin room. The luxury kitchen boasts a six burner range cooker and there is a separate dining/ sitting room to relax over dinner, after a day spent enjoying the East Neuk of Fife.

The renovations have been carried out sympathetically maintaining many original features while incorporating life’s little luxuries like under floor heating in the kitchen, a multi-room sound system and twin cabin shower.
